Similarities between Canelo Plant and Canelo Kovalev

I haven't been very active lately other than keeping up with picks, so not sure if anyone has commented on a few of the similarities between these fights.

Both opponents were boxing well early/mid rounds though very reluctant to throw the right hand. Maybe for different reasons, Kov not wanting to get countered vs Plant not wanting to get countered and also hurt his delicate right hand...?

Both fights ended in the 11th. I also recall some people having Kovalev up on the cards before getting splattered. Not that Plant got stopped in as dramatic fashion, but I saw even more people having him up on the cards. I don't know maybe the similarities end there but perhaps there are more?

Tell me I'm right or wrong or ****ing ******, I don't care just reply with your opinion so this isn't another dud YMR thread doomed to page 200 by end of the night.

Definite similarities. Both were reduced to pretty much just throwing jabs. This seemed to be the case in the GGG rematch as well.

Alvarez was more tentative against Kovalev early on due to his power, he clearly wasn’t deterred by anything Plant threw and was happy marching forward.

Haahah **** this thread was teetering on the precipice of page 2 and as usual, like clockwork, you swoop in to save me from utter embarrassment again. I was literally seconds away from editing some **** in the bottom about how at least I'm good at predicting things (like that no one would reply) and I'm never posting another thread here again...

        Lol! Couldn’t help myself!

Do we know whether Plant injured his right hand yet?

Kovalev did better offensively I think, but Plant did better defensively. But it is very similar in other ways. I think both gassed a tiny bit & we're eaten by the shark
