Typical eddie hearn digging up relics. Algieri is retired and now a nutritionist/analyst and pushing 40 years old, inactive and irrelevant. Benn on route to a joshua style geriatric resume. They say hes not ready for avanesyan but they well sell to us that algieri is a former world champion and of a similar level when he isnt, the last guy benn fought is probably better than algieri at this point.

Conor Benn is going about his career the right way. Chris Algieri is a bonafide opponent, albeit past-prime. He should give Benn problems, the longer the fight goes on, but I expect a Benn win. Could be another quick one, or could go long and see Benn chasing Algieri's shadow for most of the night. A good matchup stylistically!Comment

For perspective, Boots who was a vastly more experienced amateur than Benn was fighting a 26-10-2 (13 KO's) Mike Arnaoutis in his twentieth fight who had lost 8 of his previous 13 fights and hadn't competed in over 2 years. Algieri will be younger than Mike Arnaoutis was when he faced Ennis, with fewer losses and having competed at a higher level.Comment

Ennis is not with PBC he just fights on showtime the network why you think Stanoinis is the WBA mandatory for Ugas title, Haymon want that in house fight and if he was with PBC they'll probably had made Boots vs Kudratillo Abdukakhorov who is with pbc and been IBF mandatory for over 2 years now for interim IBF title since Boots rank number 3 in the IBF and Abdukakhorov ranked number 1 does that make sense. Boots is promoted by D&D boxing Cameron Dunkin, Espinoza just likes Ennis alot. He would've gotten someone better than Dulorme who Stanonis went life and death with.
Yeah it's crazy the same few people seem to rock up in every Benn article calling him out for not fighting Ennis who's clearly further along than Benn
A 58-3 amateur & 28-0 pro should be hunting down the top names in the division. Not looking down at a 22 fight amateur, 19-0 prospect who hasn't competed at the same level. Their obsession with him is weird.
Algieri is a fine opponent for Benn's twentieth fight. If anybody needs to step up it's Ennis. He's well beyond the Delorme's of the worldLast edited by SimpleTouchee; 11-08-2021, 12:10 PM.Comment

I totally agree. Ennis just made a statement consisting of 5 top names that he wants to fight. Benn was not among them. But some of these fans keep throwing Benns name into the mix. It's bordering on the obsessional. If they're fans of this guy, then they should listen to what he's saying, and not setting they're own agendas. I should point out its not all fans, but some are consistent lol.
