  • Comments Thread For: Conor Benn vs. Chris Algieri Set For December 11, DAZN

Conor Benn will close out a productive 2021 campaign with his biggest name--and perhaps toughest test--to date. Former junior welterweight titlist Chris Algieri has been confirmed as the opponent of choice for the unbeaten Benn, Matchroom Boxing confirmed Sunday. The bout will headline a DAZN telecast December 11 from M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England.

Seems a relatively interesting fight, Beeps... Benn still on the way up, and Algieri about 4-5 years post prime. I'll take a look at it.

I expect Benn to win as I question what Algieri has left and I think Benn will continue to improve. Whether Benn reaches world level is yet to be known. I think Benn UD or the ref stops it late somewhat controversially.

I don’t know about this one. Algieri is a huge leap in competition for Benn. I’d say Benn is lucky that Algieri been sitting out for a while tbh. Algieri got a chin and Benn ain’t no PACQUIAO power. Should be an entertaining fight nonetheless.

          Pac dongriders when

Pacquiao cherrypicks Algeiri and forces him to fight at a catchweight: "good fight!"

Benn fights Algeiri: "Trash fight! Tf why is benn fighting another bum?? Benn at it again ducking real killers like Spence,Ugas,Bud,Porter,Ortiz and Boots."

Algieri has the skills to win but I think Ben, although still developing, has the power to beat him. Good match up.

Remember, Algieri damn near beat prime Amir Khan. He's a tricky fighter. Not every fighter can be Errol Spence - the only person so far to completely blow out Algieri.

I actually don't rate Conor Benn who failed to drop Formella. So this will be a good test for him. If he can't drop Algieri...Benn is C-level at best.
