golovkin got a pass because HBO manufactured him into their latest "happy go lucky aww shucks" foreigner who couldnt speak english well that the media would fall in love with....they were looking to build another version of pac....hbo gave golovkin green lights for fights they wouldnt have for anyone else....these guys made a curtis stevens fight lmao....remember when he was embarrassed and outclassed by dirrell? and then beaten by two legit D level club fighters?

listen golovkin is a good fighter...hes pretty good...he just wasnt what his fans and everyone tried to make him out to be

People that ducked GGG during his prime:

• Daniel Geale (gave up his belt rather that fight Golovkin)
• Felix Strum (exposed for paying a bribe to not get stripped for avoiding the fight)
• Peter Quillin (gave up his belt rather that fight Golovkin)
• Canelo (Remember how he made up his own weight class to avoid the fight? gave up his belt rather than fight Golovkin)
• Hassan N'Dam (was the mando, passed up on the fight)
• Sergio Martinez (Dibella nearly had a heart attack each time someone asked about this fight)
• Chavez Jr (Arum was furious Chavez jr turned down the massive payday in 2014)
• Billy Joe Saunders (priced himself out to avoid)

Because of all this, K2 announced Golovkin was open to 154 and 168 for a huge fight. Ward-Golovkin was not that.
