Callum Smith showed the blueprint to beating Canelo

Smith won 2-3 rounds, went 12 rounds, and you can clearly see Canelo was having a hard time landing hard punches through Smith’s guard which is why he had to change it up and go for his body and arms.

Caleb Plant further showed how vulnerable Canelo is. Plant won 3 rounds and almost made it through the entire fight where he was only going to lose 8-10 rounds on the scorecards had he survived the 11th round and held for dear life/run in the 12th.

Billy Joe Saunders was also clearly schooling Canelo until the 8th round where Canelo hit him with a lucky punch.

Kovalev was also schooling Canelo with the jab before Canelo’s lucky punch. Canelo didn’t have any answers to Kovalev’s strong jaw. His only answer was to turn it up and KO Kovalev brutally. This would not work if Canelo goes up to fight guys his own size like Fury, Usyk, AJ, Wilder, Whyte.

Daniel Jacobs only lost 7-8 rounds vs Canelo. Another fighter who could have outboxed/schooled Canelo if Canelo was an actual MW, and not Cruiserweight/Heavyweight squeezing down to lower weights.

I told everyone, but no one listened: Caleb Plant was not going to get KO’ed by Canelo in the early rounds. He is too great a fighter to get KO’ed in the early rounds. I knew Canelo was going to stop him late.

Caleb Plant and Sergey Kovalev showed the blueprint to beating Canelo.

Canelo better not go up to 175 to fight Beterbiev or Bivol, because he would only beat those two by decision, further exposing how mediocre Canelo really is.

He lasted 12 rounds. Only lost by UD.

Caleb Plant managed to last 11 rounds, almost surviving long enough to just lose by UD.

Canelo is clearly beatable. Basically just put your guard up or slip his punches and try to last 12 rounds. No need to even hit him back with anything.

Not getting KO’ed by Canelo, or lasting as close to 12 rounds as you possibly can, is like a Win at this point.

The big issue that you are dismissing, Canelo was able to essentially shut down all of those big, stronger guys. He made big guys like Kovalev fight scared.

What will beat Canelo is someone who is not afraid of him and not afraid to crack back.... that would be GGG in fight 1, and likely Beterbiev or Bivol. Maybe Kovalev if they do fight 2... Kovalev is back in the gym and just posted about it on his IG.

Khan had a legendary 5 rounds vs Canelo. It was almost like Hagler-Hearns 2. Only difference was that Khan had a better chin than Hearns.

Canelo’s massive balls make him a heavyweight. From 147 to 175, he has been picking on smaller men. Time to go up and finally face Tyson Fury. Beating Fury is the only way he can prove his greatness to us.
