I admit I'll be very disappointed in Floyd if he doesn't start fighting the Moselys, Cottos, Bertos, Margaritos, Pacquiaos, etc. It is simply bad for his legacy as a fighter if he doesn't.

That being said, Ali didn't come back and immediately fight Frazier...he had some warmup fights in Bonavena and Quarry (I'm my memory serves me correctly).

Yeah I think almost everyone agrees that it is fine for him to have a tuneup, but someone in his weight class would have done fine. I mean how about fighting Berto? Anywayz I agree that his legacy won't look good if he doesn't fight top WW before he retires again.

But that's the thing, I watch both sports separately and never put one over the other just because. If Floyd were to fight Sean Sherk in an MMA match, more than likely Floyd would get taken down, beaten to the ground, and maybe subbed out. But why is that so hard to fathom? Because it's Floyd Mayweather?

What does Floyd know about sprawling, getting out of choke holds, blocking knees, kicks, etc. It's ok to say, "Floyd wouldnt fare well in the UFC" just like I can also say "GSP couldn't hang with the best in Boxing".
