Someone call me out if I’m wrong, but didn’t Mayweather get belts in five divisions? And hasn’t Canelo won belts in four divisions? He has to win a belt at Cruiserweight to equal Mayweather, although one could argue Mayweather would still be above him due to his unbeaten record. I am one of those who buys into the argument that Pacquiao had a GREATER career than Mayweather even though I believe Mayweather was BETTER… Canelo could still get there, but he still has a lot of food on the table left. There is more he has to do to EQUAL Mayweather, not to mention SURPASS him.

Floyd was and still is cherrypicking easy fights he didn't want to fight Manny in 2010 because it was too big of a risk.
You want to be seen as a top tier all time great you keep stepping up your competition Floyd digressed all the way down to cherrypicking non boxers.
but Manny couldn't had been shopworn in 2015 if he was still world champion in 2021, makes 0 sense

You heard it here first folks.
The reason why Floyd cherrypicked a shopworn b fighter in Andre Berto, and a 0-0 non boxer in Conor McGregor, is because somebody was nice enough to throw him a bone for cherrypicking a shopworn Manny.

I am curious to know how did he earn those two extra cherrypicks from the Manny fight,, because all he did there was run clinch and hide behind his appointed ref.

if this doesn't prove that all Floyd wanted was easy fights........

But end of day Floyds best win is considered Pac who is a former light flyweight with 70 fights under belt. That should tell you a lot. It tells many people a lot of things. SOme choose not to see what they dont want to see.

Wins over Kovalev, GGG and people with very good ability who are unbeaten in plant and BJS and Smith etc. Beating great fighters dont make you great. Horn beating Pac didnt make Horn great, so why would it make floyd great, who did Floyd beat that makes him greater than Nelo? Taking risks is what makes you great. Fighting in your backyard against undersized, green or drained fighters isnt going to make you great is it?

If Floyd would have just beat these guys in their prime, there would be no room for debate.
Floyd was older than both of them, past his prime, and canelo had over 40 fights and undefeated, by the time they fought. He even fought Lara after that, and was schooled again. That's why he hasn't fought anyone closer to those two.

Some of the banter here brings up an interesting question in my mind: who is generally considered Floyd’s best scalp? I’ve always thought it was De La Hoya or maybe Corrales, but some have said Pacquiao. Pacquiao when they fought, by that point was only about 75% of his peak though. Some say Canelo, but that was a weak-ass skinny version of Canelo. So… who was Floyd’s best win? I ask as a boxing fan who generally rated Floyd pretty highly — better in skills than Pacquiao or current Canelo, but below the level of peak Hopkins, RJJ, or SRL. I rate Mayweather in the same skill class as peak Toney or Hearns, personally, although I must say he may have been the smartest boxer of all time from a business and matchmaking standpoint.

Ringwise Manny was far more shopworn than Floyd
