All Floyd had to do was beat the best guys in their prime and all of this would be an afterthought. He retired and thought he was home free.. Manny trumped him by beating a guy he ducked in Thurman, now Alvarez unifies 168 and is beating the brakes off guys while Floyd needed every a side advantage plus the judges and refs to eke out points decisions on b grade fighters. Shopworn name guys.

Some of these guys were good, solid boxers no doubt.

Boxers don’t get a bump on their resume because “Floyd was out hurt and didn’t fight them”.
Floyd was hurt? Took two years off when pacquiao looked so dangerous that floyd did the unheard and demanded specific testing knowing pac wasn't a beta male and wasn't going to give in to another man's demands who was essentially equal to him as it would have shown weakness for even further negotiations ..he demanded the drug testing as a smoke screen

there's also a video of him saying what pacquiao was doing wasn't natural...he was afraid

And the other fighters at the time were paul Williams, margarito and cotto

All were good talents and scarier than any fighter floyd had fought up until that point in his career

It would be ridiculous for pacquiao to give into unheard of demands in negotiations for a fight...but I suppose a beta male like you wouldn't think twice ...it was an obvious smoke screen to duck

If Nell beats floyd 3 out of 4 times like many think he would, Nell is clearly Floyd's kryptonite
Oh yes i forgot you use that weird angle . So basically Mayweather schooled JMM but the fact that he doesn't fight again if they fought 4 more times JMM could win 3 of them so JMM is actually his Kryptonite? so in your eyes greatness is fighting opponents a second time even if you schooled them the first time? ..... i actually think that paradigm is extremely creative to say the least. well done you

You mean when he took two years off and in the process avoided the whole welterweight division because his hands was hurtin. Yeah that was one of your better excuses

You sound ridiculous have you listened to yourself? You are just using your vivid imagination and talking absolute gibberish. He was such an alpha male that he said he cant take the test because he is scared of needles yet has tattoos. You plonker, sit down and shut up

Right. Mayweather is the proof that skill is the most important attribute. It’s not the only thing but it’s the one thing that you can keep improving combined with experience to beat someone who has all sorts of physical strengths. Everyone knows Floyd throws a lead right hand, but nobody get away from it. I’m glad I got to see him fight in person. I gushed to everyone I knew when I first saw Manny before the MAB fight. Great fighter. History will remember that Floyd beat them both and once in ring it was never that close. “I damn near feel every punch coming”. - Money May.

                    Think of the time...
the sport had its drug testing process
Pacquiao and Floyd were both super stars of equal right

What Floyd asked of Manny was unheard of at the time

Was it out of fear Floyd put these stipulations in ??

If manny jumped through every hoop Floyd wanted him to he would have had no respect for himself

You need to think outside the box buddy...it's Floyd that saw how much a monster manny was that he was certain such a ferocious warrior was not natural or it was a smoke screen to throw the negotiations...either way its a cowardly move

I know if it was roles reversed there's no way Floyd would agree if it was mannys idea...hes a control freak and it would show weakness

Pacquiao and Canelo will always be held in a higher regard to real fans ..you Floyd loyalists don't even know he swindled you all..he's a ****ing fraud...all the talent in the world but safety first and picking and choosing who he wanted to fight not who the fans wanted him to fight

Remember he had a poll and everyone voted Amir Khan and he chose maidana instead...he's a ****ing clown
