Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will celebrate sixteen years in the pro ranks by the time he enters the ring for his next fight. Halfway through his already incredible career came his lone defeat. Then 23 years old, Alvarez fell short versus fellow all-time great Floyd Mayweather Jr., dropping a 12-round decision atop a Showtime Pay-Per-View card at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas that served at the time as the highest grossing event in boxing history.

And the judges have certainly helped him along for that goal namely against Lara and GGG

Well, Lara and Golovkin (first fight) might argue he's lost since Mayweather. But yes, I think he's overall a fighter who has become better than GGG and Lara.

Plant is slick, he's hardly lost a round, but his level of opposition has been not that high. I don't know who wins this fight, because I like Plant's skill.

I can honestly see an upset here. I know it's a tall task and my picks as of late aren't always on par but my gut tells me something.

Did mayweather lose vs Castillo in first fight or maidana first fight?

Well fact is most people who dispute Canelos wins over Lara or GGG are in fact Floyd fan boy for the most part.

And fact is Canelo win over Lara was way more clear cut than Floyd’s over Castillo or maidana. And the same goes for his win over GGG, which was a close fight but a legit win.

GGG 1 was in no way a clear loss like the one Floyd put on him.
