Is there even anything to review?

I think Plant’s a good fighter but his resume is poor, Uzcategui was a good win and performance though, Uzcategui was a on a good run at the time and not many people were picking Plant in that one.

      1. Uzcategui
      2. Truax
      3. Porky Medina
      4. Feigenbutz
      5. Mike Lee.

That’s probably his top 5, one good win and then 4 wins against fringe level guys.

plant was protected a bit but I don’t see why the guy can fight he’s very skilled and has shown heart when pressed in the Uzcategui fight so yea his resume is blah but his skills are real and his level is legit.

Honestly, his crap resume is one of the only things that makes me interested in this fight. Because he’s looked good most of the time, even very good, but it’s been against FAR lesser oppression than Canelo has been in with for years. It means we don’t know Plant’s ceiling as a fighter. Does he only look good because he fights scrubs or is he a very good fighter yet to get a defining win? I don’t think he’ll show much after the first three or so rounds but that’s why they hold the fights. Plant strikes me as soft and in wayyyyy over his head. I just hope that if the fight turns out the way I expect people don’t immediately do an about face and say Plant is trash. He’s got more hype than anyone Canelo has fought in a while.

I still laugh thinking about when Koba called him Sweet Pillows.

It's not even particularly that original or clever but something about the combination of the words really did it for me.

Maybe because it sounds like some nice slang for a lovely pair of breasts?
