I am a fan of Lamont Peterson and I too think the WBO is crazy on this one.
I think I understand the premise as far as trying to discourage "Home Town Judges" but in that case the WBO should be demanding as to what judges over see the fight. The WBO is sanctioning the fight along with the state of California. I can't imagine that California would object to letting the WBO select 3 judges from around the world and 1 referee from a neutral area other than California, Vegas, or DC.

This is a great match up and a great fight. Bradley deserves at least a 60/40 split IMO. I do think Peterson wins the fight though.
