A promise was kept in time for another top lightweight fight to make its way to the end-of-year schedule. Multiple sources inform BoxingScene.com that all terms have been reached for a title consolidation clash between WBC lightweight titlist Devin Haney and interim beltholder Joseph 'Jo Jo' Diaz. The fight has been in discussion for weeks, with Haney already on board for the fight and Diaz's side accepting final revisions and committing to the fight Tuesday according to sources.

Nice. After a **** performance in his previous fight,Jojo looked like he regained that discipline, came in shape and was willing to do whatever it took to come out with that win against a difficult Fortuna. Would have preferred Ryan vs JoJo as an all socal showdown here at the Honda but this one should be just as good. Heart wants Jojo to win as he's local and has that dog in him but Haney is a talented boxer and can see him coming away with the win. He's going to have to sit down on something to keep Jojo honest though,if not I can see Jojo slowly work his way in and make it a rough one that Haney may not like/handle. Great fight, can't wait!

Fight is decent, good for these guys getting it done. Haney wins a decision here.

Good step up challenge for Haney. How's building s solid resume as of late. Not sure how much longer the top guys can keep avoiding him.

Diaz is made for Haney. He does not have a ton of power so Haney’s chin is going to be safe in this fight. He was hurt really bad by Linares.

It was crazy to see Linares lose by decision for the first time. He has such chin issues that all of his losses come by stoppage. Haney not only managed to not stop Linares but also almost got stopped himself.

Diaz has a good chin but he is not powerful. His style also will not do him any favors vs Haney. He will be outboxed.
