The fact that Dawson was the Gary Shaw house fighter overshadowed that. You have to remember that Florida is the same state a guy can get knocked out for the count of ten and go on to get a draw. The Tarver-Dawson fight was already practically a done deal. Hopefully Connecticut will be more fair to Johnson this time though.

I think this will be a lot like the two fights between Samuel Peter and James Toney, where many people thought Toney schooled the youngster but Peter got the decision and then handily beat Toney in the rematch. Chad will pull a comfortable decision here.

Wrong. Johnson blocked a good majority of Dawson's punches on his gloves. Showtime just didn't have the punch stats to tell the real story. The way I scored the fight was I gave Dawson rounds 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, and I gave Johnson the rest of the fight and the 10th round should've been a 10-8 round because not only did Dawson get hurt really bad in that round. He got dominated. Should've been a 115-112 win for Johnson and he got robbed blind.

Dawson wasn't knocked down in round 10 so your score would be 10-9, not to mention Dawson actually was winning the round for the first 2:00 minutes until Johnson landed big shots. Watch that round again.

Dawson will get the decision. But the only top fighter I see him fighting in the future is Hopkins, after that he'll play is safe.

I agree. He wanted to go down to 168 and fight smaller guys but HBO had to force him and Shaw to take that rematch with Johnson. Johnson on the other hand has said that he'd be interested in fighting Cloud in the future. That fight would make anybody cream their pants.

Hopefully if he wins he won't wait 3 years to fight again.
