It can't really happen anyway as their in the middle of a tournament. Ennis is gonna have to wait until that process is done, or look in a different direction. I don't blame Ennis for saying he'll fight Butaev, but I blame the journalists for asking ****** questions when it's a fight that can't happen whilst their in the middle of a consolidation process.

In your eyes maybe. Not in Butaevs. He wants to win a world title. Obviously that means something to him, and it still does most people in the boxing world. In fact I believe Ennis pretty much just called out Spence for that very reason. So, common sense? Yes of course.

If I'm Ugas and have a deal on the table for Spence next, I'm dropping the Belt that quick. Young guys typically genuinely want the belts but the vets should know better.

The Organization can order Ennis vs Stanionis next and winner fights Butaev, problem solved. Although I'd love to see them all fight each other, Ugas deserves back to back big fights.
