Ennis looks to have potential BUT

His defense is leaky and his power will only get him so far...year he got the 1st round ko, but he was getting hit flush while trying to finish him...against a person with more power that and less wear, it would end bad for him

He got caught with one good shot when he was going for the kill, calm down. This isn't like Danny Jacobs getting dropped by Sergio Mora when trying to finish him. Ennis has a decent chin

I agree. He did take a flush right trying to put away his opponent this last outing. Time will tell

Totally agree. But this is solely going off of what I have seen so far. Against tougher opposition he may show other aspects to his boxing but so far all I have seen is really good power, and a natural athlete.

I think he matches up well with Spence because Spence is at his best when he pressures.

far to early for that..would love to see him in against 2nd tier boxers first

At this stage do you believe he can beat David Avaneseyan in his next fight?

You’re right. He definitely needs to be more defensively responsible, but his counterparts, Spence, Crawford, Thurman, etc, are no defensive wizards either.

Overall, he looks very sharp and athletic. Looks more polished at that age than Spence and Crawford were.

He beating up former 140 lbers, he’s working on things, no need to rush him. Let him fight some more durable guys
