Comments Thread For: Jake Paul: Fight a Real Boxer They Said - That's Exactly What I'm Doing!

The critics have been asking Jake Paul to face an actual boxer - and his next opponent will be an actual boxer. His pro debut was a one round destruction of Youtube rival AnEsonGib. He then followed that up with a crushing two round KO of NBA star Nate Robinson. In April of this year, Paul blasted out MMA veteran Ben Askren in one round.

About time, lets see how he does here. Still far from PPV worthy but that is Showtime these days outside of Fury/Wilder 3 they been serving up trash.

Good fight for Jake. That's the one that will show us what he's made of at a certain level. Hopefully it's not fixed in no way shape or form and that both get in there and give it their all. If that happens and Jake Paul actually made it to the final.bell, he'd have my respect as a real boxer for sure and if he wins then even more respect and we'd have to take him.a lot more seriously. May the best man win.

Tommy Fury is a very lose definition of "a real boxer"

I mean Charlie Zellenoff was a bona fide pro boxer at one point in time. Technically speaking.

In reality, Paul is a four fight prospect with no amateur experience. Who should he fight? Most prospects like him would be facing someone with 3-40 record.

Whoa don't disrespect me like that. Me and these other "boxers" aren't the same.

Someone in his weight class. That’s the biggest thing. His last four “fights” have been against undersized opponents. Tyrone Woodley was the closest but still well out of his weight class.
