lol. ''same size.'' what does that even mean. If Margarito was the same size as Pac? oh wait....they fought. Margarito was a slow IQ lurch fighter. Canelo would counter him and put him to sleep. Wishful thinking I see

Honestly, I think you gotta be a Mayweather to beat Canelo and there is none out there right now, Canelo is seek and destroy and that's a product of taking everything GGG hit him with, Canelo is not boxing any different than before, now he knows he has a granite chin and so worked on enhancing his power game to it, he could always punch and was always slow in footwork superslow for Floyd, I love the way Canelo is boxing right now and I still think if we could have the same Floyd at this weight now does the same schooling, only because Canelo would not be able to get off Floyd would still bamboozle and 1/2 step him all night.
Boxing has a weird science. There's size differential in HW's but boxing fans rarely apply the draining that boxers do at lower weights. For example, Crawford's physique, weight, in the ring against Beltran is around 152, or Crawford against Gamboa was the same. These guys are fighting performance hinderance since they drained all week YET still finish the job in the ring. Crawford was like 75% optimal in his post 135 days. A 100% Crawford would've KO'd Gamboa and Beltran early. It's the same thing with Canelo. He was only in there for a check thinking he BOX Floyd. If Canelo had been more aggresive like a Maidana, since Canelo hits WAY harder, the Mexican would've been badly fatigued by Round 8. The best know how to conserve stamina between rounds, take breaks. Power punchers exert A LOT of energy. A mover doesn't have to as much. The harder you punch the more strain and fatigue on the heart. Try and hit a heavy with the hardest punches you can do. The heart tires out faster than if you were to do a 10 min shadow boxing in the ring. That's the way it is. I've been there done that. This is why a 75% Canelo against MAYWEATHER (who isn't Beltran or Gamboa) wasn't successful. Look at Canelo's style in the second half, completely different than the first. Floyd was scared to fight Canelo for the Middlweight title because by 2015 the Mexican was bigger, stronger, and gained more experience. Mayweather didn't even bother another PPV against Canelo from 2016-2017. Floyd knows what great is. He didn't want that rematch with either Cotto or Canelo for their LINEAL and Floyd's favorite green belt at 160. Floyd didn't even bother to impose a catch of 155 with them because he was skurrrred.

Tell me who is your favorite fighters and I will tell you where their if buts and maybes are, apply your own standards on the guys you don't like to the ones you do see how that holds up, its professional high stakes boxing for fck sake
When you are fighting Smith in San Antonio, right after Smith just got beaten clearly by Ryder, why should I really be impressed? What risk is that really taking? You picked a good name at the right time, and at home. Why are you letting that fool you?

I critique any and all fighters where it is warranted. I'd criticize my own brother if I felt he was doing stuff wrong. It's not that hard and it's not that serious.

And Smith just DESTROYED a guy who's never been KO'd and went 12 with both Bivol and Browne.

huh, it's almost like Canelo and co. knew Smith was drained as hell at 168 and was ripe for the picking. Imagine that!

So it’s better if Smith vacated his WBA or gave the fight to someone else? Or does “defending” mean anything
