Oh no. Terrible news. Not all hope is lost though it is not like AJ isn't capable of beating Usyk even with McCracken, the trainer is not fighting in the ring.

Young Edward see's his days as the Heavyweight kingpin on the slide and he's right. Whoever Joshua goes to or seeks advice from won't be enough, the little man has a better boxing brain and will always leave Joshua with only an outside punchers chance. Truth is Hearn will have run out of rematch clauses and then be focussed on Whyte for as long as that lasts!Clive Davenport likes this.

I don't think any of us really know enough about Joshua's mentality, McCraken's coaching abilities or the dynamics of their relationship and what went on behind the scenes to have much of an opinion on this tbh.
Personally it looked to me like both sides made mistakes regarding Usyk but everybody makes mistakes and that doesn't mean they can't learn from that and rectify it. As others have said though, that might not be enough against Usyk. Even with the best trainer and gameplan, Usyk might just be too good. He's an elite boxer.

I don't think Joshua should leave McCracken just yet . the rematch is gonna be right around the corner and getting adjusted with a new trainer in that amount of time might not be enough .

Just because Joshua is a star, people always look for big reasons why he lost a fight, like there has to be an excuse. This wasn’t a Ruiz thing where he lost to a guy that was nothing more than a fringe contender, this time he lost to a top p4p skilled boxer that cleaned out an entire division in about 15 fights coming off the back of an incredible amateur career.
He simply just ran into a guy that is better than him in a lot of areas without knowing how to use the advantages he does have against that level of fighter.
