Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor Suffers Knee Injury, Catterall Title Defense Pushed Back To February 26

Josh Taylor was looking forward to his first fight in his home country in more than two years. That moment will now have to wait at least two more months. A knee injury suffered during training camp has forced the undisputed junior welterweight champion to postpone his mandatory title defense versus Jack Catterall, promoter Top Rank announced Thursday. The bout was due to take place December 18 at The OVO Hydro in Glasgow, with the same venue now prepared to host the event next February 26.

In before 24HourBum announces a huge party at his house to celebrate Josh's injury. But maybe not too huge a party. 24HourBum would have had a monstrous party had Josh tore a bicep and broke some ribs at the same time and was in intense pain.

Amateur move by Top Rank. Pros hide the injury until the last minute, sell as many tickets as possible and then go on with a D grade card.

Has Whyte rescheduled the Wallin fight?

Taylor is going to fight Caterall in February. Whyte is clearly trying to get out fighting Wallin so he can cash in against Fury. Huge difference.
