Comments Thread For: Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Issued Backdated Three-Year Suspension Through October 2022 by Nevada Commission

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is back on the suspension list. The second-generation boxer and former WBC middleweight titlist from Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico was issued a retroactive three-year suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) stemming from an unresolved drug testing violation in October 2019. The ruling was handed down during the monthly agenda hearing Wednesday at commission headquarters in Las Vegas.

Chavez was out that day stuffing his pie hole with Mexican Street food.

Where the hell is his promoter, manager, the guy with the press release and slush funds for just these occasions?

They should take off the weed as a failed test and says he's at two strikes.

This is so unjust, depriving this brilliant fighter of his chance to finally certify his greatness and book a place in Canastota.

Why would you call it a backdated 3 year ban when he's fought 4 times in the last 2 years?

Just call it a 1 year ban.

They banned Nick Diaz not Nate and he got 5 years it basically ruined his career now he's a drunken shell of himself before he wouldn't even drink was just strictly training and competing.

Nah. Illegal at the time and his dumb ass chose to still do it. He deserves no more breaks. He's made a ton of money by half assing his way through his entire career. He is a moron and should be held accountable. He is an embarrassment to the sport, does not deserve to fight in the states.
