  • Errol Spence Jr is Back! Was Expected to Fight Yordenis Ugas in a Three Belt Unification Bout on February 22, 2022........

Until the WBA ruled that Ugas must defend his title vs Stanionis next.

Dang shame, we were going to be so close to crowning an undisputed champion at 147.

I have a feeling Ugas might beat him. There’s a lot of if’s surrounding Errol; eye injury, inactivity, possible weight issues, is he the same fighter following the accident? Wouldn’t surprise me if Ugas scores another big upset here.

PBC would never put one of their only p4p fighters in at less than 100%...

Personally I dont think Errol was 100% before Manny for many of the issues you claimed. Im not saying the eye injury was fake(d) but it sure did give him a significant amount of time to get right before February.

Either way, itll be interesting to see how the WBA responds to PBCs request considering theyre still under the Microscope.

A shame but not the end of the world. Unification can still happen in the future.

Ugas very well may win, he's a good fighter...But don't think Errol has weight issues, he has been in the gym and looks in solid shape. I mean he could not run for like a month or so after his surgery but the fight would be over 4 months away and he's in good enough shape.

LOL what? Faked an eye injury? Are we still going on with this? The man got his head smashed on the pavement like 20 times in his accident and still came back to fight Danny. He wouldn't be faking an injury to duck out of a fight with a legend like Manny, considering the type of money he would have been making and Manny possibly retiring after the fight...Which he ended up doing.

People talk about Spence not being the same fighter (and I wouldn't be surprised if that was true) but I personally don't think a pre-accident Spence is guaranteed to beat Ugas. I think Ugas is just a tough fight for him regardless. Good match up.

Hasn’t he said he’s moving up soon though, I think his time at 147 is running out, I don’t think he’s as strong at the weight as he once was.

He may not be as strong, and that tends to happen if you stay at one weight class long enough. But he should still be a force and can beat any of the other top WWs. I don't give a damn if the Bud fight happens at 147 or 154 personally, just want to see it. So if Spence decides to vacate and move up? Fine with me...As long as Crawford is coming up with him.
