Comments Thread For: Moises Fuentes To Undergo Emergency Surgery Following Knockout Loss To David Cuellar In Cancun

Moises Fuentes will undergo emergency surgery following a brutal knockout loss. An ill-advised ring return for the former strawweight titlist ended on a horrifying note, as Fuentes was knocked out by David Cuellar in the sixth round of their ESPN+ main event Saturday evening at Grand Oasis Hotel in Cancun, Mexico. A left hook by Cuellar sent Fuentes straight to the canvas, lying motionless as the referee immediately called for medical assistance.

To the writer, Roman Gonzalez stopped Moises Fuentes in the 5th, you might of been thinking of Daigo Higa, who also KO Moises Fuentes but in the 1st. The rest sums up Fuentes career nicely.

Moises family was at ringside, it was a rather sad sight. A doctor checked on Moises Fuentes before the 3rd round, although he appeared to be fit to continue -- I hope that some of you clowns now understand and respect safety protocols.

So a recent report tells us that Moises was flown to another hospital in Mexico city, and shows signs of improvement.

There is visible improvement in Moisés Fuentes. A source from Cancun commented that the last report they had is that Moisés is evolving satisfactorily and that he is feeling better. "They told us that he had already opened his eyes, that he was moving his foot, his hands, is what we know," said the source.

Damn man. It’s 50/50 once they rush into surgery it seems like.
