Neither does what medals they won. Totally irrelevant in the pro game. Only relevant in the amateurs.

And if someone says AJ is an Olympic champion and Wilder is not? What does that prove exactly?

Gervonta Davis or Teofimo Lopez didn't win gold either. Nor Josh Taylor. Winning gold at the Olympics may be the be all and end all of amateur boxing, but it only serves as a guide for the pros. The same way Marshall beating Shields serves as a guide.
I think the 2 gold medals that Shields has serve as more of a guide.

Bigger sample size and more accurate indicator of talent.

There's no better indicator of talent between 2 fighters than the outcome of a fight. In any case I'm not saying that Marshalls victory means she wins again. But 2 gold medals means very little either. One would hope their skillsets gave evolved, but we can't know by how much until they fight. I always disregard amateur achievements or victories. It's the here and now that matters. So hopefully they can get it on.

I want that fight only to see Shields melting down after she gets stopped ... Give her all the money she wants so that the only way this thing is not happening is a lame duck ...
