AJ sells big tickets too but his fights barely register in terms of attention among the general public across the world.

Vegas is a strange place for tickets, The pricing structure prices a lot of ordinary people out, And leaves a lot of empty seats that people with money don’t want.

Floyd versus McGregor had tickets left on the day, But it was the biggest event happening in the world that day.

So you can’t really look at ticket sales and place great significance on it. Fury v Wilder dominated the headlines and was the thing most people were talking about last weekend and that really puts boxing in the spotlight, not selling thousands of tickets for $30.
It just seems uninformed to suddenly come out of the woodwork after this fight and say that boxing is officially back.

As if Canelo's fights don't trend worldwide on social media.

The fight that saved boxing was also the one that highlighted all that is bad about boxing.

We could have had a handful of great fights while we were waiting for this ****show to be finished.

It wasn't the biggest fight in boxing. It actually prevented the biggest fights from being made. Fury and Wilder seemed to generate this myth that boxing stopped for 18 months during COVID. It didn't; Fury and Wilder stopped.

And people seem to be forgetting that it was a dead rubber that went the way of the guy who had dominated the first two fights.

Boxing could be great but you morons keep accepting what you get served!
This is pretty funny this fight is being now touted as great when most were complaining about it beforehand .The fight stopped the undisputed and actually prevented the far better fight with Fury and A.J which would have been far more competitive,I think posters have forgotten they are watching boxing and the objective is to win rounds ,I’ve never seen a fight where one guy wins about 26/27 rounds and the other guy wins about 4/5 rounds .

We’ll see if Fury actually lives up to champion status and fights Whyte or Wallin again both are dangerous fights for him wheather he thinks he’s to good to fight them which is absurd behavior .

Why we acting like Floyd Mayweather and Mike Tyson didn't sell a million PPVS this year. Boxing is only as relevant as its top stars are. Unfortunately the top star right now is Canelo

They do but not to the same level in terms of worldwide interest.

Most people on the street across most continents don’t care much about Canelo. He’s nowhere near the name anywhere else that he is in USA and Mexico.

Big heavyweight fights that capture the imagination will always attract huge interest.

Canelo is huge all across Latin America as well.

There's a certain arrogance that "the world" only consists of certain specific countries.
