Do you like Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr.?

I use to really like the kid till he said something about another fighter and said he wasnt in the same class as him or something when he really was in the same class and can beat him. I just dont like the dude cuz he ducks and dodges all the big opponents. Just like his dad, thinks just cuz u got an inflated record means your the **** even tho you only fought janitors and pop machine vendors...

I don't have anything against JCC Jr but let's see him fight against a live opponent and have him prove his worth. He has damn near 40 wins...shouldn't most guys who've had that many fights be taking on the top dogs?

Well stated and just out of curiosity I looked up all of his opponents and he has only fought 2 out of 39 who have ko rate of at least 50%. If he fought live opponents there would be nothing to knock him about.

True sr. fought his share of cans but he also fought and beat top level opponents too. Alot of those cans were stay busy fights between the live opponents. I think there were actually times where he fought 3x a month.....the difference is jr. headlining ppvs against cans.

It's never gonna be easy for him as he will always be compared to his dad for accomplishments. Hell, we're talking about one of the greatest (if not The Greatest) Mexican fighter of all-time. Not many can compare.

However i do agree, the record padding will not impress anyone. I would love to see him do well in the next 18 months and actually fight live opponents, possibly a champ to see what he is all about just to shut up the haters, but his management seem to only have money on their minds, and as long as Jr is drawing the big crowds fighting nobodies, then i think they will keep milking it. Quite sad really.

He's pretty well known because of his name, because he wouldn't be nobody by that record. He needs to fight better opponents and fight for the title, he's already had 39 fights.
