Effective means that you use your aggression to actually do something to the opponent, i.e. punch and hit them. Clottey had INEFFECTIVE aggression for the majority of the fight because he chased Cotto around while barely throwing or landing anything and having Cotto flurry on him constantly in return. Basically a complete replay of DLH/Sturm.
yes i know what they mean and your acting like the 12th round was how the whole entire fight played out, and clottey executed more of the criteria than cotto did most of the fight, therefor he clearly won, end of story.

Very true. If Cotto had landed the same shots and done the same fight as Clottey everyone here would be saying it was a clear, definite win for Cotto, instead of the close SD.

What annoys me is that everyone who says Cotto won uses the last rounds as their bases for him winning. The last two rounds do not equal the whole fight and Clottey won more rounds than Cotto quite easily. You have to score it round by round not at the end of the fight say to yourself "Well, Clottey won up to the eleventh but then because he just chased Cotto, I give Cotto those rounds and if you win the championship rounds you win the whole fight"

115-112 Cotto. Clottey gave the last 2 rounds. He was tired and it seemed he was still feeling Cotto's punches.
