Hasim Rahman, Chris Byrd, Lamon Brewster, John Ruiz held all the heavyweight titles. All of them are under 6-foot-3.

    Where heavyweights not big then?

    Why is Usyk special again?

    TIA soccer moms.

There's a good reason why boxers were not bigger than 6' 3". It is due to there being an ideal height for fighting. I had read a very good article on this once but I have no idea where it is now. The article, however, discussed how fighters, when they become larger, tend to lack the reflexes, speed and overall effectiveness in a fight. You could say it's a case of diminishing returns, and in many cases, it can be a liability. This is one of the reasons why Fury breaks the mold. Nonetheless, you will see that Wilder, Joshua and these giants will, more often than not, lose to boxers the size of Usyk or Foreman. They tend to just have better coordination, speed, stamina, etc.
