Is sparring partner mentality a bad thing?

Jared Anderson was praised by Tyson fury upon being his sparring mate. He definitely got some work in hence getting the kayo at only 21 years old.

Robert helenius improved upon being deontay Wilders sparring partner as he beat the plodding Pollack.

How indescribably important is it to align sparring work with the world's best? These 2 guys sure looked better than ever on the undercard.

Sparring partner mentality is like fighting to survive I thought and not really trying to hurt your oponent.

It goes fairly well, my friend. They were successful in reaching their goal of 20k to keep the lease going and surpassed it by $4207 currently. I hope they can get a government grant or some gov funding for the next years though as they really deserve it.

I always thought sparring mentality was useless. You're getting paid to give a guy a look for a few rounds while he sharpens his skills. Where does the growth come from in his career? Room and board? Maybe the tail end on close decision s? They might say he must be so and so sparring partner, he's got it made, let's hand the decision to the younger fighter he has more promise. Just like ray Beltran, Pacquiao's sparring partner, long time stable mate. He done good on the money but... His career never amounted to what ah you know what I'm saying... Also the experience could be at the same time invaluable sometimes even if trainer put a bounty on in house fighter for every sparrer that knocks him down. Russ amber wanted David Lemieux to train with Sergio Martinez
