Was the fight really that close?

Fury with a large margin in both punches landed and rounds. What made the fight exciting was that Wilder hung in there for several rounds when you would figure he'd be done. Yes, it was action packed but basically Wilder got demolished. Had it gone the distance, Fury was an easy winner.

I don't know if you realized this, but Wilder had a 10-7 round in round 4. That means if he won 2 of the other 7 rounds out of the first 8, he is down 1 point after 8. I think all 3 judges had it that way.

Wilder won 2 rounds. Round 1 and Round 4 I think it was where he scored the knock downs. Fury won every other round.

All well and good, but the fight lasted 11 rounds not 8. And Wilder got bulldozed in rounds 9, 10 and 11.

No sh.it. Who is arguing the fight was super close after 11 rounds? I haven't seen anyone make that claim. It was close after 8. Fury was up about 3 points by the 11th round. A good lead but close enough I guess.

Fury was up by 4 points after 8 rounds. He had a 10-8 round in the 3rd.

I had it even after 7. I gave Wilder 1, 4 was 10-7, and 5. Fury got 2, 3 was 10-8, and 6-7. Fury beat him up after that but it remained a great fight until the finish. Fight of the Year.
