LAS VEGAS - Robeisy Ramirez produced perhaps his most noteworthy win Saturday in two years as a pro. The two-time Olympic gold medalist out-boxed Orlando Gonzalez in a 10-round battle between left-handed featherweights on the Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder undercard at T-Mobile Arena. The 27-year-old Ramirez won an unremarkable unanimous decision, as judges Max De Luca (99-91), Steve Morrow (97-93) and Don Trella (99-91) all scored the fight for the favored fighter by comfortable margins.

I didn’t watch the fight, but I’m getting the impression that Salas is bringing him up with a process in mind. From what I read, and from what I’ve seen in the last couple of fights, Ramirez is focusing on boxing, not brawling. I recall him being much more aggressive as an amateur. I can see that aggression coming out at a later date.
