Comments Thread For: Haney's Father Views Gervonta Davis as The Most Dangerous Foe at 135

Don't expect Devin Haney to swap punches with Gervonta Davis any time soon - unless Davis intends to fight at 135-pounds, according to Haney's father and trainer.

I dont see haney fighting teflo name one thing haney does equal to greater than teflo none. Davis this simply cause 6 inch difference would be the best fight for haney sure feather fisted n all still got a nice iq decent athletism n a 6-8 inch reach n height advantage enought to figure out a boring win

Great fight if it ever happens. If the if becomes a when it'll be some time away. Garcia is never going near Haney. I don't blame the kid. He knows he can't win and defeat affects his popularity status. So he should steer clear of Haney for sure. Unless ha can improve of course.

Lomachenko is looking for a dance partner and guess what, he isn’t even dangerous. What a clown these Haneys are, both father and son. Talk up big names and then fight bums or has beens. After what Linares was able to do, u know the next opponent gotta be lesser than him

This is just a jab Loma because he asked to be made franchise champ to skip Haney and fight Teo. Business like using tax shelters...

I wouldn’t worry about Tank, He is in fighting any of the top guys any time soon.

I really like seeing him fight, I think he could arguably beat anyone 135 and under...but it’s not worth thinking about because his team don’t make the fights we want to see.

Then again, it doesn’t seem like Haney is going to be fighting the real top fighters soon either.

Wait. Is there another Lomachenko that I'm not aware of? Because the one I'm aware of is fighting Richard Commey on Dec 11. He's the Lomachenko that gave up his WBC world title and brought a franchise title into the lightweight division, to avoid fighting Haney. That guy? Linares isn't a bum. He's the only guy to put Lomachenko ( the one that I'm aware of ) on his butt. He also beat Luke Campbell who put Ryan Garcia on his butt. I will agree with you on one point though. His next opponent will be lesser than Linares. That's inevitable as the only decent fighters in the division won't fight him.

Linares that fought Haney had him in trouble and was half of what loma and Campbell got. Haney should stop fighting past due fighters and scrubs if he wants respect. Loma commey nakatani(to a lesser degree) all good fights he wants no part of lol. And stop saying he holds a belt he doesn’t really Teo is WBC champ Haney didn’t beat anyone for that belt if Haney had any respect for himself he’d throw the trinket in the trash but him and his dad like to pretend they won it off the champ and aren’t paper champs lmao

wow this lightweight division is surely the best division in boxing seen in the last decade, so many potential good matchups, so many good fights to be made, been like that for a good few years too and no sign of slowing down, who cares if the fights never get made, its really just the anticipation of them that makes boxing the sport it is, lots of undefeated 0's there as well, makes it even better, losing just erases the mystique, if they dont fight each other they wont lose! even better
