Frankie Gomez Beats Sanjarbek Rahmanov in Milan

(COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO.) – Light welterweight Frankie Gomez (Broadway, Calif.) took the ring at the 2009 World Championships with the weight of his country on his shoulders as one of only two U.S. boxers remaining in contention at the 2009 World Championships. Yet the 17-year-old didn’t crumble under the pressure, winning his third straight bout in Milan to move on to quarterfinal action. [details]

Frankie Gomez is a boxer to be proud of.

He's had a very impressive showing so far, especially considering his opponents are all older and more experienced than he is.

frankie is a beast! we've fought on the same card many times. the kid trains like a pro, all he does is eat, sleep, train repeat. this kid will be a legit pro, mark my words.
