Mzonke Fana is 22-2 (8 ko's) from South Africa. Fought outside of South Africa once in his career, where he went to England and lost. Ranked 2 by the WBC and 3 by the WBA. Not so sure about this guy.

superfeatherweight contender from africa. got the chance to fight when he won againse a filipino contender. he was knocked down, i think, twice in that fight but still won, probably due to hometown decision. supposed to fight morales.

no chance of winning against either barrera, morales or even pacquiao

It's a mandatory fight. Barrera has to fight him to keep his belt. The fight will be held in El Paso Tx, My Hometown. I will be there but my seats suck. Has anyone had an experience where they went to a boxing event with far seats. I would like to know if I will be able to see good. I have seats for row 34 on the corner. Any advice will be helpful. thanks.

MAB used to be the poster boy for making the best fight and not caring about belts. His motto was "f*** the mandatories".

Now he's fighting some guy named Fana on PPV?!? :gay:

He won against an undefeated filipino challenger named Randy Suico last year. Saw the fight and Fana did kissed the canvas twice. Although i believe Fana deserved to win the fight since his punches were more accurate and were the more telling blows. He's got good handspeed but a suspect chin. He almost went down in the last round and the crowd were holding their breath while Fana was desperately hugging Suico for dear life. It was ****in funny!

I went to the Gatti/Dorin fight and sat up pretty high in the Convention Center at Atlantic City. Dont know anything about the place this fight is taking place, but when I went to that fight I didnt really have a problem seeing the fight. I sat near the top, but was on a side of the ring not a corner. I mean there is nothing that can compare to being down at ringside (was ringside for the Golota/Grant fight) but just being at a fight is always an experience.

I definitely agree with some of the posts, this fight should not be a PPV fight. This is a load of crap. The last time I checked, Mike Tyson and Oscar Dela Hoya are the only ones who can fight bums and still have the fight televised as PPV fights. And now, Marco Antonio Barrera? I'm sure Oscar had a lot to do with this ****.

And kudos to ther person who pointed out that Barrera used to say "**** the mandatories" and just go for the best, and now he's fighting this bum with a 0% chance of winning. You hit the jackpot bro.

                    P.S.
I know probably a lot of people also wondered who Manny Pacquiao is before he fought Barrera. Before that fight, Manny has been on HBO undercards and kind of known for his KO power. But this guy Fana has 22 wins and only 8 by KO's, tsk tsk tsk. I have utmost respect for Barrera even after he lost to Pacquiao, but now, it's all down the drain. Hypocrite.
