WAS FLOYD THAT GOOD OR WERE FOES TAILOR MADE?

Before his retirement, he was one of the more popular names and the reputedly best skilled in the sport. But now that he’s been off for two years, there are a lot of questions that will need to be answered: Is he truly the cash cow of the sport? Does Floyd have financial trouble? Does Lil’ Floyd still have what it takes to dominate? Hopefully these questions will finally be answered on fight night that is less than two weeks away.

Floyd managed to beat DLH at 154 when he was outweighed by twenty pounds. DLH was still a good fighter then too at that weight. In my eyes his finest win, even it was oficially his closest.

His competition has been pretty good (Baldomir, Corrales, Herdandez, Castillo, Judah) but it's not as if he was on DLH's level with the compeition he faced.

At 130 and 135 he was that good, since then he has taken much less risks and fought guys it was obvious he would beat.

I agree, but even at 130-135 they were carefull matching him. But not near as carefull than at 140 and above. He is the most protected superstar since Joey Gamache(who was somehow a two division champion).

Floyd might have ducked a couple foes...

              BUT

the guy's skillset is off the charts.....

I dont even like the guy but im a realist and i know a great boxer when i see it, and floyd is a GREAT boxer.... not necessarily an ATG, but he is still great

Mr boat buyer has fought fighters with different styles. He has fought brawlers, boxer-punchers, southpaws, one-shot punchers etc. His ability to adapt to any style is an often overlooked attribute.

He's a great fighter. But he should be stepping up to better opposition.

If they were, that had to be a hell of a lot of tailor made opponents.

He's fought nearly every style there is out there.
