Rounds that could go either way should be scored EVEN!

It's no secret that there are many robberies in boxing. They can happen because all the rounds that could go either way are being scored for the favorite.

And really really really close fights would more often be scored draws. Then there wouldn't be so much discussions afterwards about how "the other guy" really won it.

So in short; more draws, but more fair as well.

PS: something completely irrevelent: I noticed it happens A LOT that boxers continue hitting their opponents when they are already down. Refs should take that foul more seriously IMO...

Absolutely not. Scoring even rounds is a cop out, that's what **** judges do.

Someone always wins the round, even if it's by a jab.

Like they say 'who'd you rather be at the end?' If it's a feelin out rd, no heavy contact, no one really has an edge, I guess it could be even. Past that, action rds that are simply close, bite the bullet and score for someone. As a judge, just be prepared to defend your rd by rd in the event of a protest.

I often give even rounds. Suggesting that it is a 'cop-out' is ridiculous. The human mind can't remember what the **** happened exactly for the last 10 seconds, never mind 3 minutes of intense action. Close rounds should more often be scored even (say 1 or 2 a fight if it is very close). People saying it's a 'cop out' are probably the first ones to cry robbery when a home fighter wins by 4 rounds in a close affair because they got more nods in the very close rounds.
