It was reported that Joshua vs Usyk, at Tottenham stadium which has seating for about 60,000, sold out in 1 day. So why would a promotion waste money? If you can sell out 60,000 in one day, then surely, announcing a fight 2-3 months in advance, you could sell out 90,000 over two or three months? So why leave 50% of the revenue on the table?
Why wasn't Joshua vs Usyk at Wembley or any 100k stadium?

Joshua can’t sell out like he used to
his fights started having thousands of tickets left. I remember there could barely give tickets away on fight day for the Povetkin fight -
A.J would sell out Wembley within hours if he fought anyone on the forum ,if Fury did that he’d have just him and his family in attendance .
The Povetkin fight was about 80,000 with fans holding out for the Wilder fight that never happened . Telling tall tales though as if A.J don’t the sell now and it’s falling tells me you have to be a Fury fan ,that’s what they do . Fury and Wilder can give away thousands of tickets in a 20 k venue and no one says anything . If A.J fought in a stadium that held 200K and did 190,000 you would tell the forum he’s not a big draw they had to give away tickets .

Did AJ sell out v Povetkin though? No. The tickets were there and they never sold out. Parker fight had several thousand tickets left too. Takam fight too.

Nobody is saying he’s not a big draw, he is but he can’t sell out Wembley or Cardiff against just anybody, it’s proven.
They don’t leave money on the table if they don’t need to. They simply pick the venue they feel they can fill, or come closest to.
Trust me, if they could’ve sold 90,000 tickets at Wembley instead of 60,000 at Spurs, they would’ve. It’s all about money, that’s why they take fights to Saudi to fight in a morgue infront of a few thousand business men.
