    Ivan Calderon denies that his age is affecting him.

    SAN JUAN - The junior champion fly World Boxing Organization (WBO), Ivan Calderon, said his age was not the reason for his latest battle has ended in a stalemate.

    The Puerto Rican, 34, found in the Filipino Rodel Mayol one of his strongest rivals and a cut on Calderon's forehead caused the battle of June 13 was arrested in the sixth assault. The cards of the judges ruled a draw.

    The Boxing Commission of Puerto Rico appointed as chief referee Luis Pabon official bout, which will be staged at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan.

    Puerto Rican coach, Jose Sanchez, stressed that his ward has rendered 86 rounds of sparring and training track that has given him a great fit.

    Mayol, 28, welcomed the opportunity for revenge, following implementation and said that this time will win convincingly to Puerto Rico.

              I have always thought in spite his skills, Calderon's lack of power was a major weakness. Come the day he has an off night of isn't focused this will haunt him. He has no way to make opponents double think being aggression. A busy fighter might out work him on an off night.

                    yup.....

                    also.. even that hes denying it... age is playing a major factor here......

                    ivan has like 3 to 4 BIG FIGHTS ... left in him... i would say 3...
