  • Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao - Is It Really The End?

By Cliff Rold - Manny Pacquiao, one of the greatest fighters ever to lace on a pair of gloves, a statesman in his native Philippines, let the world know retirement had arrived. Seven months after a post-fight interview with HBO's Max Kellerman, Pacquiao followed his rubber match victory over Timothy Bradley by capturing the WBO welterweight belt for the third time with a win over Jessie Vargas.

I wouldn't be shocked to see him in exhibition fights in the future but at this point any ambitions he might have had of winning a serious fight against anyone relevant at a high level have to have gone by now. If not, they will be by the time the presidential election is wrapped up, win or lose.

That's probably for the best though. It's really not right for Pacquaio to hold such a high-level and important position in the government of the Philippines while still competing as a professional athlete. Politics is too important to treat like a part-time job.

Better watching Pacman punching some corrupt politician than having him in the ring again, losing against mediocre opponents.

Don't be too shocked if it's Mayweather-Pacquaio 2 in the future. Now Floyd saw that Manny didn't look good against Ugas, in comparison to his excellent form against Thurman.

If he's fully retired, that's also okay, he had a great career. Fans will clamour for the comeback though, if we don't get these young guys fighting eaching other, ie. Spence vs Crawford vs Ennis vs Ortiz jr.

A conspiracy theorist might think that, Manny put in a deliberate weak performance to intentionally take the L. Then use his legs cramping as an excuse, as one of the first things people say is " his legs have gone " , all in an attempt to draw Floyd out of retirement for a rematch. Are there any conspiracy theorists out there who can confirm this ? Lmao.

Yup the midget racist finally admits he can't hang with the big boys. He should have retired years ago, but his bigoted fans filled his head that he could beat the top guys out there. Ugas had to show him the error of his ways by busting both eyes.

If he fought exhibition fights, would you not see him as a hypocrite for criticizing Floyd for fighting exhibition fights?

Is that what Floyd saw in 2015 when he fought and beat Manny? We heard that malarkey then too
                Nice try

Pres makes less than $20k USD per year (If he should become the pres)

Unless Pac has saved his millions, he will 1st try his hand at exhibition matches (where his fans will hail him for it)
                  Or
See if he can unretire and resume his #3 ATG career.
