Well, put it this way, he was fighting Ishe Smith. He didn't look anything spectacular, but he got the win and that's the important thing.
He keeps his right too low and Ishe nailed him with a few good left hooks (something he did in the AMs too). He also tends to lay on the ropes too much for my liking, and while he threw a ton, a failed to hurt Ishe.
All in all, it showed what he needed to work on, and was a good learning experience against a veteran fighter with an awkward style.Comment

although a lot of people are high on Jacobs, Im not overly thrilled with him. he seems to purely rely on his speed and athleticism, which is a real waste. if he actually sat down on his punches and put real combinations together instead of his flurries, he would be a lot more successful. I didnt care too much for his mindset in that Michael Walker fight either.Well, put it this way, he was fighting Ishe Smith. aint it always the way...the more skilled prospects always seem to be too slow or lacking physically, and the quick guys seem to settle with the basics and hope that their athleticism gets them through alright.
what a shameComment

After his last few fights his stock has gone down, IMO. Ishe actually stunned Jacobs two or three times. The thing is, Jacobs was 175 on fight, meaning he's cutting a good amount of weight to fight at 160. And from what I've been seeing in the last 2-3 fights, I'm not sure he could cut it at 168, or 175.Comment

That's not a bad fight actually.
Wouldn't mind seeing it at all.
Jacobs is a little less impressive every time he steps up a little more, but who knows.
Interesting fight with a lot more for Choc to lose with a loss than Jacobs.
Doubt if there would be any money for this fight though.Comment
