I'm not saying he did or didn't commit suicide, but it's been known there has been a dark side to Arguello, deep very dark depressions and drugs in the past, unlike Gatti who never showed any dark side.
'He did not kill himself'

Arguello had been contemplating suicide for the past 25 years. It was really no secret and I find it unlikely that he had been murdered but not impossible considering the situation in his country.
The knowledge about the "black bottle" came from Luis Resto.Comment

Gatti's had a dark side. He battled drug and alcohol problems himself, gotten arrested for assaulting cops and women.Comment

Murder or suicide wouldn't surprise me.
Arguello's long had issues with depression. He once almost committed suicide in front of his son.Comment

......did'nt know unsigned suicide notes aint legit...sort of like personal checks..Wow, his suicide note seems REALLY fishy. a suicide note that was typed and unsigned?
Ive never been in a suicidal mood, but damn, if I was I dont think I would feel like going to the computer and printing out the note. youd think if you were ready to kill yourself, you would just pull out a piece of paper and write on it.

Former revered champ, Hall of Famer and recovering addict Alexis Arguello is just lucky to be alive, writes ESPN.com's Tim Graham.

Drinking, partying and the occasional assault isn't the kind of darkness I'm talking about. Like TheGreatA said, Arguello had some serious depressions that went on for a long period of time, which involved the thoughts of suicide.
To my knowledge, and going by what Arturo's family, friends and managers have said, he never displayed any of that kind of darkness about him, ever.
That doesn't necessarily mean he didn't kill himself though, because there is scientific research that links brain damage and brain concussions to severe depression, but his case isn't like Arguello's.Comment
