I'm a Canelo fan. I don't like Plant or rate him much. It sounds like they are arguing about a cutoff date. Kinda reminded me of Floyd-Pac. Conte article explains the benefits of drugs that have a cutoff date well too. I never addressed or even thought about Canelo's PED use prior to the canceled September date vs Plant. Time frame was too short. They should've been testing since the fight was agreed to.

LIke I said in another thread, Plant his a guy who likes to run with his made up narratives to try to distract criticism from himself. When Plant was approached after his Feb 2020 win for a May fight, he ran to the media claiming Canelo was trying to set him up with a short notice fight knowing he'd have no choice to refuse and that it would make him look bad when Canelo just fought BJS with the exact same turnaround he cried about. Later in the year, Canelo was caught up in litigation with DAZN and wasn't free to negotiate a fight until he settled his situation however he made it clear 3 months in advance that he was targeting a December date. Plant for his part said he'd been in the gym training all that time and was ready to fight but then played dumb saying he didn't know why Al didn't get it done, then later after the fact tried to spin it with the short notice excuse again. Then recently during the third round of negotiations he tried to claim he was the reasonable one for accepting ten times his highest purse and criticized Canelo when he's the only reason Plant's getting paid and the only reason the fight is being made period because he kept pushing it even after Plant refused, and even became a free agent to be able to cross the street to his doorstep on PBC

And now he's out here trying to spin narratives based on a contaminated result years ago when Plant's the one who's got convicted PED dealers running his camp as we speak, and unlike Canelo who's done VADA testing for years, there's no public information on Plant's testing history because apparently Al likes to withhold his fighters' testing status from the public and the IBF doesn't have a testing program in place. The guy is nothing but a weasel with no credibility. He'd the shadiest one around but is somehow trying to point fingers. Bear in mind, Plant's ex/baby momma came out and said he straight lied to the public about details surrounding their daughter's illness and death to make it about himself, and anyone who would lie about something that is a straight up pathological sociopath.
