This fight is hard for me to call even though I favor Abraham because the fight is in Germany. Can Taylor's chin and stamina hold up? Is Abraham going to be active enough to outwork or outbox Taylor if those aspects of Taylor's game are successful?

He did land a lucky ******** punch, that how he won the fight....he was down BADLYon two of the three scorecards and needed a KO to win.
Taylor outclassed him in the first 2 rounds, dropped him in the third and beat him to the punch for the rest of the fight until he gassed in the twelfth which Froch took advantage off.
Taylor had everything over Froch...hand up, speed, head movement, defense, good footwork, better jab..u name it.
Froch is ****.Comment

That's only the case when the ref and judges are German (or in Abraham's case, Armenian or German). But if Showtime had the sense to insist on neutral refs and judges for all of the bouts, that won't be an issue, and as long as that's the case, claiming it was a hometown decision would be a lame excuse.
Does anyone know whether the ref and judges for this fight have been announced yet?Last edited by Dave Rado; 09-08-2009, 05:50 PM.Comment

He better train harder than ever, cause if Froch knocked him out Abraham could probably kill him.Comment

Taylor has the ability to win this fight comfortably. But past situations mean you can't rule out the possibility of a late round TKO victory for Abraham.
Either Taylor UD, or Abraham late TKO. Hopefully Taylor has his stamina problems sorted out. But if he hasn't it will most likely be a nasty ending for him.Comment

You really need to rewatch the fight or back off Taylor's nuts, because he lost rounds in the latter half of the fight by being completely inactive. Sure, he beat him to the punch when he actually threw punches, which was the last 30 seconds of each round if he was feeling ambitious. He did land a lucky ******** punch, that how he won the fight....he was down BADLYon two of the three scorecards and needed a KO to win.

And this is coming from a fellow Taylor supporter. One who expected Taylor to get KO'd as soon as his activity level dropped off.
As much as I hope Taylor fixes his stamina issues (which he's been trying to do since training for the Pavlik rematch) the logical assumption at this point is that he can't or won't, and that AA will find him and KO him late. I'd love for him to prove me wrong though.Comment
