But what happens when you turn it around and say what prime figters did Jones Jr beat in europe..? Then calling him protected because he only fights in the US.True
but what prime fighter did Calz fight in the states?
NONE
so there is some just to those comments.
But he did kill Lacy that we all know now was a hype job, however at that time he was considered dangerous so it was a good win for him.
Plus you have to admit most fighters that go over there to fight get robbed
The brits are notorious for protecting their fighters we both know this.Comment

What prime fighter in the States was there for Calzaghe to fight?
None of them were at the caliber of Hopkins and Jones Jr. As much as you can dress up the fact Hopkins and Jones Jr were both old. It doesn't take away from the fact that Hopkins was still a very good boxer, in fact the best American at the time. After his loss to Calzaghe he'd go on to embarrass Pavlik. Oh but wait, I thought he was just an old man?

Calzaghe was no spring chicken either.Comment

It is a fairly diverse board I think, but yea there are probably more Americans then anyone else. I just think that no matter what the topic is Americans and Europeans will find a way to talk **** to each other. The majority of this board is American.
I cannot remember the last time I saw a thread calling an American fighter a bum. Not once. But Yanks are in threads taking the piss out of Khan. Calling Khan overrated?

Like Kell Brook for instance. He wants to send a message to Cotto by beating Jennings faster than what Miguel did. He's obviously just trying to get some attention. But instead of people saying, ' we'll see how Brook does ' and ' It's his first real test etc '. They call him a hypejob and a bum. He's a prospect and a young guy trying to generate some interest.
Calzaghe is called a bum after he beat 2 of America's best.
The only time I've seen an American fighter called a hypejob is Lacy.
I don't see any Europeans talking **** about American heavyweights. Even though it's dominated by 2 Ukrainians at the moment.
I have seen Floyd Mayweather get called a hypejob, now the person that said this really did not deserve the time it took to read that point, which is probably the same as with the people saying what you are talking about. I don't notice the European hating since really I don't care about that, I notice other hating like on Mayweather for example. As for the heavyweight thing, most Americans tend to agree we have terrible heavyweights so it is hard to talk **** when both sides tend to agree on the point.
Another thing most American's are ignorant of European up and commer and solid conteder jsut because they don't see them or know them and based on the past people expect certain things, but really that is a terrible way of looking at the sport.
It still ends up as mutual because it really does not matter who starts it the end result is the same.Comment

Ive learnt everyone is over rated no matter what you have archived, you lose your a bum, judges scorecards mean jack **** because everyone has there own winner, if you drop a close UD you were nearly always robbed, your opinion is mostly always wrong, and Floyd Mayweather is the best ever and cant and wouldnt have been beaten by any boxer ever. oh and i also learned Marquez drinks piss.Comment

No way Football is miles worse, Itallians and English football hooligans brawling in streets starting riots and such, when was the last time you saw some Floyd fans arrange a meet with Cotto fans for a big street brawl lol, supporters of teams hate most other teams EG Arsenal, Man united, Liverpool or Roma, Inter, AC Millan, Juventus.Fiorentina Blah Blah.... tho i do agree to a certain extent boxing fans just hide behind keyboards and badmouth instead of firms meeting for fights, but it would be funny if they did.Comment
