Joshua not the same after Ruiz beat down

Joshua is not the same fighter he was before he lost to Ruiz. The beating took something away from him. Sure he looked better fighting an even fatter Ruiz who couldn't even bend down and an old Pulev who was just a slower version of himself.

And Joshua's trainer's advice that he just needs to apply himself. If Joshua thought he could force a fight with Usyk he would have, but Usyk is a much better boxer. Float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Joshua felt that sting and chose to wait it out. When he did push the pace in the 5th and 6th Usyk came out and clipped him good in the 7th. Joshua's trainer gives Usyk credit for being a "good boxer". No, Usyk is a "great boxer" and Joshua is an average boxer with limited stamina.

I think you answered it correctly in the last 2 sentences of your post. I don’t think the ko loss to Ruiz made AJ a different boxe.

He just lost to a better one. That happens. The ko loss was just that, a ko loss in one fight.

Yeah, I think the first Andy Ruiz fight ruined his psyche.

He looks scared of getting hit now and reacts with panicky body language when he gets nailed flush. Also he doesn't seem to know what his style is anymore.

It was before that. He was gunshy against Povetkin too. It's the reason that I was so adamant that Ruiz would win. He's been on a downward spiral since Wlad. You could see it against Takam, and he looked scared at points against Parker.

Ruiz just exposed weaknesses that were already there. Joshua was never that good. He was getting too much hype for beating Klitschko's old ass.

Ruiz softened up AJ for the overrated Usyk

I think he changed his style after the Klitschko fight. Takam and Parker should never have lasted 22 rounds with him. But he was happy to just box and win without taking the risk to let his hands go and sit down on his shots.

His trainers seem to want to make him a boxer when really he's a puncher. Now he's neither of the 2.

He’s exactly the same. AJ has his flaws and likely always will have. Usyk is able to exploit those flaws.

Potnuffi. Was dinging shifs iff his head, he was just too old imo.’

AJ been getting handled in the gym in sparring I keep hearing and it was a matter of time before he started losing. In the amateurs he was getting dropped too. Historically and traditionally, 20ish wins is barely out of prospect stage. He’s 24-2 now which is terrible imo.
