He can't "applie himself" cuz he doesn't trust his chin.

I rate McCracken as a trainer but I’ve always had doubts about his and AJ’s partnership, AJ isn’t a Carl Froch, Howard Eastman type fighter. McCracken will get you in great shape and will give you the right fundamentals but I’m not sure he can mould a fighter like Steward did with Wlad and Lewis. That’s what AJ desperately needs IMO, he needs to evolve his game because it’s so basic. It might work vs 40 yr old faded fighters or C level heavyweights but he needs more to beat a guy like Usyk.
Derrick James or Breadman! Choose one!

To beat Usyk you back him up, rough him up, make it ugly and make it a dog fight.
Some fighters can do it but AJ aint one of them.

James maybe, Breadman definitely not. Talks a good game but what has he actually achieved as a trainer?

Yeah spot on, it’s complete nonsense, he’s 31 yr old, had 25 pro fights, 10 world title fights and has an extensive amateur background. Yet they’re talking about him like he’s an inexperienced prospect.

AJ is going to have move forward and back up the smaller man......but easier said than done of course.

J-Rock did win a title. Philly is a good place for Joshua! He should get good sparring, and maybe a little more "grimy!"

He’s done a decent job with J Rock but it’s not a big enough sample size. AJ needs to go to somebody proven. J Rock still has his flaws that Breadman has failed to correct too, the same mistakes he made against Charlo he made against Rosario.

Derrick James is a good shout, Buddy McGirt is a guy I think would be a good shout also.

Fire the trainer. Nowhere near enough uppercuts, watch Teofimo and Canelo main punch against Loma and Saunders. Worked great and they landed with power against left handers. Fire him.
