Usyk destroyed the Bridgerweight and super heavyweight concepts last night

What’s the point of Bridgerweight now?

The heavyweight champion is 220 pounds and the Bridgerweight limit is 225.

Seems like Bridgerweights are bad heavyweights who need a special division.

Also, what would be the point of super heavyweight?

Why would Usyk have to move up again to prove himself?

    Yes.

There's no need for either of those divisions. Skillful fighters can beat the giants.

I definitely agree. Skillful guys have always beaten giants, going way back in the sport's history.

The structure makes sense but it would destroy the lineage and history of the original 8 divisions.

nah cruiserweight is high enough as it is. at 200 pounds, those guys are already 215-220 on fight night. if you made it 220, then that is like 235 fight night and that is almost all of the heavyweight division, effectively creating a bridgerweight
