Rematching Usyk kills the Fury fight. That would push the Fury fight back 12 to 18 months. Eddie will steer Joshua into the Fury fight. AJ always said his destiny was to be undisputed...yet at today's post presser...he says undisputed is nice...but it's just a concept or construct. So now it's not important to him because the financial risk is too great.

He could realistically call out David Price for a tune up and it shouldn't punish him too much while exposing him real time to someone of Furys size. And if Pricey got to AJs chin first...we would get the fight we always dreamed of...Fury/Price...even if it's May/Pac late.

Dillian Whyte is due a shot at the WBC HW title, Joe Joyce is the WBO mandatory -- which makes me wonder if Usyk will be forced to vacate to honor the rematch clause?

At least this lost removes the A side B side for his future endeavors. Now we will get the fight we want, when we don't want them. Welcome to 21st century boxing.

Maybe he should fight for the British heavyweight title

He'd better learn the basics of boxing, and dream afterwards. No one from the top has any interest in fighting him anymore. He is damaged goods now and, shortly, with no market value

Joshua is a bonafide scrub. I found it hilarious when everyone from Tyson to Holyfield was jumping on his bandwagon after he barely out-stayed Vlad. He gets beaten every other fight so is always exercising rematch clauses and therefore has no time for the interesting fights that would otherwise await him. Don't expect that to change. He is yesterday's meal.

Yes he did! Imagine if Ruiz would have really trained for that second fight. Joshua would have a picture of Ruiz hanging on his wall at home saying "That's my Daddy"!
