He didn’t have one.
What was Anthony Joshua's game plan?

That's how it looked to me, all those advantages and he goes and tries to out box a much better Boxer.
It's clear that they don't want him getting clipped again like he did with Ruiz, he hasn't got a good chin, it's not glass but it's not good. But they have taken away his best attributes trying to navigate him safely through fights and last night was asking him to outbox a smarter Boxer, they played in to his hands.
It's understandable if Joshua was shook from that Ruiz fight but his team are going along with it by promoting his safety 1st approach.
He needs a new team, fresh ideas and a slap in the face to wake hik up back to being a fighter, not too hard a slap though.

chisora crowded usyk and closed he distance, he didnt care if he took some shots to land his and pressure usyk. AJ could do that as the bigger man but his style is to box so that is what he did and unsuccessfully. a truely great fighter will be able to fight different fighters differently and adjust. AJ sat around for a big right counter that never came. You cvunts must be blind. AJ simply went in thinking he still had enough size to push usyk around but usyks footwork was what kept AJ in the centre of the ring. Usyk movement stopped AJ from being able to clinch and move him towards the ropes where he would be a stationary target. The only time Usyk had trouble (2 middle rounds)... he was off centre of the ring.
Then i thought ok maybe he is hoping usyk will tire with all that movement and him sitting there doing nothing but AJ was mentally fatigued himself and by the 12 damn near collapsed in his corner and took 5 minutes to get off his stool, how can he be so tired when he barely moved or threw, his stamina is trash.Last edited by elfag; 09-26-2021, 11:17 PM.Comment
