I think we see Usyk/Joshua 2 and the Fury/Wilder 3 winner vs. Whyte in the first quarter of 2022.
Will Joshua rematch Usyk?

The thing with Joshua is that he attracts a very casual fanbase who are also very fickle. I think the longer he goes without being champion and in the conversation as being in the top 2 in the world, his fanbase could quickly dwindle. He’ll always be a draw for sure, but selling stadiums out won’t be quite as simple.
He's not going to become a mandatory any time soon, obviously. He'd be getting a shot based on commercial value - which he has plenty of.
The loser of Fury/Wilder would be a very quick route back into the reckoning. And I'd give him a better chance against either of them than I do against Usyk - styles make fights and all that. Usyk won't ever be right for him, though as a big puncher he'll have a chance.
Whyte, Ortiz, Joyce (would be the wrong move) could be big fights to put him straight back into the equation.
I think he'll rematch, because I think he's got the balls to go away, train the house down, and give himself every possible chance against Usyk.
i think to keep that level of commercial value and the casual audience, he probably needs to roll the dice in the rematch.Comment

Yea, I think he will take the rematch straight away barring serious injury to the eye. I dont know if he will make the necessary adjustments or can make them to beat Usyk. Usyk may stop him in the next fight if he cant. Joshua will have to be a bully to beat Usyk and I just dont think its in his nature, he doesnt have much of a mean streak in him.Comment

He has to otherwise his career is over.Comment

if he's smart he'll take a year break, reinvent himself again, comeback fight 1-2 tomato's and then demand a big fight with one of the 3 big names in Fury, Usyk, or Wilder.
People forget this is heavyweight boxing, and just yesterday Wilder was the big undefeated dog until Fury beat him, and AJ was the biggest thing until Ruiz came around and now Usyk. In other words AJ can easily recapture his glory in this era and division by just beating one of the top guys, because all of them are vulnerable.Comment

His eye isn't damaged - disregard the rumours started by Hearn. It was just swollen but it's almost back to normal now.
If he's taking the rematch - he needs to leave Rob and his other trainers and move to the US. A change of environment to be able to check back in and leave all the leeches behind.
And the best coach for him against USyk is Teofimo's dad.
He went in there flat thinking his power alone would be enough and when he started getting to Usyk in the 4-5 rds by working the body - Rob told him to go back to the jab and that allowed Usyk back in the fight.
1. Leave the UK and move to the US to be able to check back in because he has already checked out of boxing mentally.
2. He has outgrown those coaches and leeches around him - fffck loyalty, time to start afresh.
3. Get Teofimo's dad as his next coach.Comment

I think he exercises his rematch clause. He has shown it in the past and I cant see any better option for him.Comment

I agree he needs a new trainer. If he got Teofimos dad that would be crazy. In a good way. Like the entertainment, level would be incredible. His eye isn't damaged - disregard the rumours started by Hearn. It was just swollen but it's almost back to normal now.
