for Usyk. A lot of European fighters don’t learn the art of fighting inside. Usyk, Beterbiev, Loma, and a couple of other Euro fighters can fight on the inside. As great as Wlad was, he couldn’t fight inside. Joshua can’t fight inside.
Joshua has heart, and I don’t question his heart. It’s his style. He’s a jabber who…if his jab is off, can’t hit a fly with 30 flyswatters. He needs a stationary target. Usyk was there to be countered, but Joshua was too slow to land anything meaningful.
I credit Usyk with using a very smart game plan. Just keep the pressure on Joshua, and his power will fade. Joshua faded badly.
Joshua can’t beat Usyk. There’s nothing he can do style wise to adapt. Usyk should move on and fight the winner of Wilder and Fury. Those two have a much more dangerous style for Usyk.
